Detailed Itinerary

Day 1 : Ngorongoro Crater & Nainokanoka Camp

After breakfast, depart your lodge or hotel for a game drive on the Ngorongoro Crater floor, carrying a packed lunch. Stop for lunch at a picnic site while spotting diverse wildlife, and later drive to Nainokanoka Camp for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 2 : Trek to Olmoti Crater & Bulati Camp

Following an early breakfast, embark on a trek to Olmoti Crater, which includes approximately one hour of walking down and another hour returning to the camp to pick up lunch. Continue the trek toward Bulati, stopping to enjoy lunch along the way. Conclude the day with dinner and overnight stay at Bulati Camp.

Day 3 : Trek to Empakai Camp & Empakai Crater

After breakfast, start walking to Empakai Camp, with lunch en route. Upon arrival, take a 45-minute trek into Empakai Crater floor to explore its unique landscapes before ascending back to the camp for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 4 : Trek to Naiyobi Camp & Oldonyo Lengai View

Following breakfast, depart the camp with a packed lunch for a trek to Naiyobi Camp, stopping for lunch along the way. After settling at the camp and resting, enjoy a walk to view Oldonyo Lengai, Tanzania’s active volcano located nearby. End the day with dinner and overnight stay at Naiyobi Camp.

Day 5 : Trek to Foot of Mount Lengai & Lake Natron Camp

After breakfast, begin walking toward the foot of Mount Lengai, where you will be met by vehicle transfer to Lake Natron Camp. Enjoy the scenic landscapes en route, then settle in for dinner and overnight stay at the camp.

Day 6 : Lake Natron & Surroundings Exploration

Following breakfast, explore the Lake Natron area with a guided walk along the lakeshore and surrounding lava formations. Observe flamingos (seasonal) and other birdlife, and enjoy a cultural visit to local Maasai communities. Return to Lake Natron Camp for lunch, dinner, and overnight stay.

Day 7 : Trekking Around Natron & Exploration

After breakfast, continue trekking around the volcanic landscape and escarpments near Lake Natron, enjoying scenic views of the Rift Valley and nearby volcanoes. Take a picnic lunch during the trek and return to Lake Natron Camp for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 8 : Ngorongoro Crater & Return to Arusha

After an early breakfast, depart Lake Natron with a packed lunch and drive to Ngorongoro Crater floor for a final game drive. Stop for lunch at a picnic site, then continue the journey back to Arusha, either to your hotel or the airport, marking the end of your 8-day trekking and safari adventure.
